Hi y'all! I'm Brandi
I live in a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee, with my really amazing boyfriend and our five kids (ages 11, 9, 9, 8, and 6!) We're a modern day Brady Bunch! I work for a real estate company with plans to go back to school to obtain my paralegal certification.
I grew up in central Arkansas (GO HOGS!), spent a few years in Texas, and have been in Memphis going on seven years now. I came to this city kicking and screaming but now I absolutely love it and don't want to ever leave.
I began this blog back in 2009 as a scrapbooking blog. Aaaaaand I don't think I've made or posted a scrapbook page since, oh, about 2010. This blog has seen me through a lot of life changes: moving from Dallas to Memphis, a new baby, divorce, finding love again, blending families. It's definitely become my scrapbook! I don't write about anything in particular these days, just lots of deep thoughts. Kidding! You won't find many of those around here but I do enjoy writing about food, some about travel, about things to do and eat around my adopted hometown, and you'll definitely find a few rants and raves and the occasional kid story. Mostly I just keep it real. Because it's the 2010's and that's what we're supposed to do.
I'm a big fan of the 90's. I think Steel Magnolias is the best movie ever made and you BEST not argue with me. I love food and trying new restaurants. My dream job would be a traveling food writer. I love entertaining in my home and cooking for people who love to eat. The beach is my preferred vacation spot but I also love me a big city. My family rocks. I have an amazing group of girlfriends. College football (GO HOGS!) is just about my favorite thing ever. I love cupcakes, Coke Zero, cold beer ona Friday any night, Eric Church, summertime, and the city of New Orleans.
